Item Information Guide
-
Choose the category that best matches your item.
-
Use the size printed on the item tag.
Do not adjust sizes because a brand “runs big” or “runs small”
Use Small/Medium/Large only for teen items
Baby and toddler clothing should use number sizes/months (e.g., premie, newborn, 0-3 months, 6 months, etc.)
-
Keep descriptions short and simple.
Example:
“Pink dress”
“Nike basketball shoes”You can also mention the original retail price if helpful to emphasize the ‘deal’ the buyer would receive.
-
Minimum item price is $2.
For smaller items that can’t be priced at $2, group them together:
Bundle books
Group bibs or accessories in a bag
See our pricing guide for assistance.
-
The last two sale days are 50% off sale days.
You can choose:
Discount: Item will be 50% off
No Discount: Item stays full price
-
Choose whether unsold items should:
Be donated, or
Picked up after the sale
Items not picked up during scheduled pickup times will be donated.
Step 2. Print & Tag Your Items
Supplies You’ll Need
Wire or plastic hangers
White or cream cardstock
Safety pins (no straight pins)
Clear packing tape
Zip-top bags
Zip ties or string
Prep & Tag Guidelines
-
Hanging Clothes
Hang clothing with the hanger hook facing left like a question mark (?).
Pants & Skirts
Use 2 safety pins:
One on each side of the waistband
Pin to the angled sides of the hanger
This keeps items from sliding off.
If the pants or skirt have belt loos, you can squeeze the ends of the wire hanger and push through the belt loops, centering the hanger hook in the middle.
Outfits
You may hang matching pieces together on one hanger.
Tagging
Attach tags:
To the size tag area using a safety pin, or
With a tagging gun through an inside seam
-
Zip tie shoes together when possible
Attach tag securely to the zip tie or staple to bottom of shoe
If shoes cannot be tied together, place them in a sealed plastic bag
-
Attach the tag to the back using scotch tape. No packing tape on books or puzzles.
If selling multiple books together, you can use ribbon and tie around pack of books like a present wrapped on on four sides and then knot it.
Put tag on with scotch tape, or on the inside of the sealed bag.
-
Use clear packing tape or zip ties
Bag and secure any loose pieces and zip tie to toy
Do not tape over the barcode
Do not seal DVDs or CDs
Please place tape carefully so it does not damage the item.
